Barra Fitzgibbon

Barra qualified as a Solicitor and practised for three years before moving into television and becoming the first Irish Voice Over Artist for Channel 4 Television. After twenty years there, he joined the institute’s Centre for Community Engagement and Learning. Barra creates and delivers training for students, staff and the wider local and global community, based on his passion for having “better conversations.” He can also be heard on Bloomsbury Radio, where in addition to his own broadcasting, he trains aspiring broadcasters and creates breathtaking schedules, filled with interesting programming.

Interests

Barra’s passion is good communication, based on people making the mindful choice to listen well in the conversations they engage in. Good broadcasting is another passion and he co-presents a weekly radio show for South East London and Kent.
