Sunmi started her Higher Education journey in 2005, working on a clearing helpline. Her interest in people development and the sector was deepened through various roles as Finance and Registry Officer, Senior Registrar and Assistant Registrar (Student Lifecycle and Governance). These roles were held at various institutions including Spurgeon’s College (validated by University of Manchester), London South Bank University, University of East London as well as the Royal Academy of Music. Prior to joining Bloomsbury Institute, Sunmi had been serving as Assistant Director (Student Administration) at the University of Birmingham.
Sunmi’s passion for seeing people walk in their purpose led to obtaining a Master of Arts in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Through this, she was able to set up a Counselling Practice providing individual counselling, group therapy and personal development workshops, supporting various communities and organisations in South London.
Her role at Bloomsbury oversees five areas of Registry: Academic Administration, Assessment, Data Management and Statutory Returns, Compliance, and Quality.
