Dr Purna Kumar Loksom
Deputy Course Leader and Senior Lecturer, School of Business and Management
Dr Purna Kumar Loksom is a Deputy Course Leader, Senior Lecturer, Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA), and External Examiner with extensive international academic, research, and leadership experience across the UK and Asia. He currently works at Bloomsbury Institute London, affiliated to Birkbeck, University of London, where he contributes to programmes in Data Analytics, Data Science, Econometrics, Business, Economics, Finance, and Management.
Previously, he served as Senior Lecturer at Coventry University and Wrexham University affiliated institutions, and as Associate Professor and Faculty Board Member at Purbanchal University, Nepal. In addition to academia, Dr Loksom held the role of Hon. Chief Planning Commissioner for the Koshi Province Government of Nepal, equivalent to state minister level, where he led strategic policy and development planning initiatives.
His teaching and research expertise includes development economics, sustainability, digital economy, artificial intelligence, data analytics, research methodology, and applied econometrics, with strong engagement in curriculum innovation, quality assurance, and international research collaboration.
