Umair is currently a Senior Lecturer with industry and teaching experience of over 18 years. Prior to this role, he spent 10 years working on various projects from management information systems to content management systems.
He started his career in 2000 as a Software Engineer and later served in key roles of senior software engineer, project manager, operations manager, and general manager of operations, prior to becoming Director of Operations in 2007. His focus was on customers, innovation, operational efficiency, and project management, which led to significant company growth. Throughout his career, he helped a large number of clients across a broad range of businesses to use IT more effectively, improve process efficiency, and make better decisions.
Umair created the first multilingual SQL designer in 2001 for one of the largest hardware producers in the world. His research areas of interest are Technology Innovation, Emerging Technologies, Resource Management, Operational Efficiency, and Project Management.
